A long-time, well-known sustainable smart digital infrastructure advocate, Bruce now serves as senior analyst and advisor to several leading advanced digital infrastructure technology companies. 


He is conference planning consultant to the BISNOW DICE (Data Center Investment Conference and Expo) series and news media. His responsibilities currently include 2022 conferences in Washington, DC (Ashburn), New York City and London focused on sustainable digital infrastructure investment and development. Formerly, he was on the Data Center Dynamic (DCD) leadership team as Executive VP for US/Canada.

Prior to joining DCD in 2013, Bruce was a senior executive of The Uptime Institute, starting its research-based Symposium Conference. He was responsible for guiding its acquisition by 451 Research (now a part of S&P Global Market Intelligence, focused on digital disruption), where he continued in an executive role. He originally joined the Institute in 2005 to initiate its data center energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction through its Symposium conferences.

Bruce is founder of The Climate 4.0 Project, non-profit research analyst and advisory studying the global Digital Transformation, Industry 4.0, now well underway across all sectors, inclusive of what he terms smart, sustainable Data Center 4.0 digital infrastructure transformational technologies that are responsible for powering the global economy toward a carbon zero & climate positive future.


With Portman Partners, he wishes to focus on helping data center developers and to build great leadership teams focused on delivering smart, sustainable digital infrastructure 4.0 services to customers.
